Our Acrylic Disks come in a set of two and are the perfect helper for straight and smooth cakes when frosting with buttercream or ganache.

Material

Our Acrylic Disks are made of food safe acrylic with a max. service temperature of 80ºC.

Please note: Do not wash any of your acrylic items with anti-bacterial dishwasher as this will turn transparent acrylic cloudy.

Measurements

You can decide the amount of icing you want to frost your cake with by choosing between .00”, 0.25” and 0.5” Disks. Please refer to the diagram shown on the pictures of this product.

Using the .25" discs will result on a 3mm layer of frosting around your cake.

Using the .50" discs will result on a 6mm layer of frosting around your cake.

Please note that some cake recipes shrink after cooling down. Please take this into consideration when choosing the size of your disk.

Great product, need some time to master it

I have to admit that I still haven’t figured out 100% how to use the discs, but I’m learning it - somehow I ended up taking part of the cake with the disk - even though I used oil as described. But I’m sure, once I figured it out the results will be amazing

We are sorry to hear it didn't work for you the first time! The frosting discs do have a bit of a learning curve. Make sure you are covering your discs with cling wrap after applying oil as instructed, this should allow you to pull off the foil after the disc has been removed.
